Every listing shows how many days a vehicle has been on the lot. Cars that sit longer than the local average often — though not always — indicate a dealer with more flexibility. We surface that signal. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

We pull pricing data from thousands of active listings across Texas to show you what similar vehicles are selling for. This gives you context — not a script. Every negotiation is different, and we don't pretend otherwise.

We stay out of the transaction

Caristotle is not a dealer, broker, or buying service. We never contact dealers on your behalf, and we're not a party to any sale. All pricing, availability, and terms are set entirely by the dealership.

Understanding Negotiation Potential

Our Negotiation Potential indicator is calculated from two data points: how long the vehicle has been listed (days on lot) and how the asking price compares to similar active listings in the area. A higher score means those two signals are pointing in the same direction — extended lot time and above-market pricing. It does not mean a dealer will accept a lower offer, and it is not a price recommendation.

A note for dealers

Caristotle aggregates publicly available inventory data. If you believe a listing contains inaccurate information, you can report it using the flag on any vehicle detail page and we will review it within 48 hours. We do not editorialize about dealerships — our data reflects market conditions, not dealer reputation.

Vehicle listings are sourced from MarketCheck, one of the largest automotive data providers in the United States, covering over 6 million active dealer listings refreshed daily. Pricing comparisons reflect active listings at time of data refresh and may not capture same-day changes. Always verify pricing and availability directly with the dealership before making any decisions.
