Terms of Service

Caristotle ("we," "us," or "our") is an automotive market data platform that aggregates and displays publicly available vehicle listing information. Caristotle is not a licensed automobile dealer, broker, auction house, or financial services provider. We do not buy, sell, lease, or finance vehicles. All vehicle transactions occur exclusively between the buyer and the selling dealership. Caristotle is not a party to any such transaction.

All content on Caristotle — including vehicle listings, pricing data, days-on-lot figures, market comparisons, negotiation potential scores, and any other market indicators — is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, legal advice, an appraisal, a valuation, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or negotiate at any specific price.

Market data reflects conditions at the time of our last data refresh and may not reflect current pricing, availability, or vehicle condition. Caristotle makes no representation that any vehicle is available for purchase, that any listed price is accurate, or that any market comparison reflects the price at which a vehicle will ultimately sell.

Caristotle provides this platform and all data "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We expressly disclaim all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Caristotle and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and data providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use this platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Caristotle's total liability to you for all claims exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100). Because Caristotle is free to use, this means our liability is effectively zero in most cases.

Vehicle listing data is sourced from third-party providers including MarketCheck. Caristotle does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information originating from third-party sources. You should independently verify all vehicle information, pricing, and availability directly with the dealership before making any purchasing decision.

Dealership information displayed on Caristotle is derived from publicly available data and third-party sources. Caristotle does not have affiliation with, endorsement from, or agency relationships with any dealership whose inventory appears on this platform. The presence of a dealership's inventory on Caristotle does not imply any partnership, recommendation, or endorsement.

Dealers who believe their listing data is inaccurate may submit a correction request via the flag feature on any listing or by contacting us at dealers@caristotle.com. We will review and respond within 48 hours.

You agree not to use Caristotle to: (a) scrape, crawl, or systematically download data without written permission; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract our data architecture; (c) submit false or misleading information; (d) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; or (e) interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation.

The Caristotle name, logo, and original site content are owned by Caristotle and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Vehicle data and listing content remains the property of the respective data providers and dealerships. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Caristotle's original content without written permission.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Caristotle shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, not in court. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. Arbitration shall take place in Dallas County, Texas. You have 30 days from first use to opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@caristotle.com with subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any claims not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Your continued use of Caristotle after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, your remedy is to stop using the platform.
